John Henry Porter Enlisted in Hilliard’s Legion and his unit became Co. A 59th Alabama Regiment Infantry. st the rank of captain. He was born 1/25/1841 in Early County Georgia to parents John Hilliard Porter and Sarah L. McClain. He was paroled at Appomattox Court House 4/9/1865. He died 9/5/1902 in Coosa County Alabama.
